Eating Healthy Is Easy!

There are so many diets and programs out there, honestly where would you start?

If you do want to go down that track then make sure they teach you HOW TO EAT HEALTHY and you have to learn how to cook it as well.

I don't really understand the whole they cook it for you. What are you suppose to be on it for the rest of your life?
Or when you stop it you're just going to put the weight back on. Hello!

You really don't have to be a rocket science to work it out. Cut out the crap!

Here is what I do:

I follow the 80-20 rule. Be good 80% of the time give yourself a 'Free Day' to eat whatever you want.
*if you want to lose weight then maybe do 95-5

If it's in the house I will eat it in a heart beat until it's gone. SO I don't buy it or I only buy enough for my 'Free Day'

Scheduled Snacks
Are my new thing! It stops me from picking or over eating at meals.

At 10:30am I have a yogurt and a White Tea (White Tea is my new thing as well- it's exactly like green tea without the caffeine and the yucky taste)

At 2pm I have another White Tea and 2 corn thins with avocado on it, or carrots sticks with my spinach dip (spinach, natural yogurt, spring veg soup mix)it's delish!

Then it's just Breakfast, Lunch and dinner:

Breakfast- It's fruit toast, Vegemite on toast or cereal and always a coffee. If you have time it's the best meal to eat alot like eggs, toast, cereal and fruit. But I'm not a morning person and can't be bothered.

Lunch- I make a big batch of soup (I'm a soup freak!)Lentils, beans, pulses and veges (whatever I have in the fridge) It's hearty so it's filling.

Dinner- No bread, pasta or potatoes. I have sweet potatoes instead. Everything is either steamed, grilled or oven baked. Always with salad or veges. I'm not a salad person so what I do is I roast veges and I let then cool then use them to make a salad.
I try to have a small portion of meat and fill up with veges or salad.
Just on meat: no sausages, chops or fatty meat. I stick with lean steak, fish, lamb and chicken.

I'm happy to exchange recipes so let me know!

How to Find Your Hair Pefect Color.....

What will suit you?

Hair color in nut shell....

Generally people are suited to warm colors or cool colors. The easiest way to determined which one you are, all you have to do is get a brown and a blue top or towel and place it over your shoulders.

Which one brings out your features? If it's the brown you're best suited to warm colors, if it's blue then your best suited to cool colors.

In regards to how light or dark to go. Ask herself this:Realistically how often can you maintain it? 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks or longer.

What I'm saying is if you're dark naturally don't go Blonde if you're only prepared to get it colored every 6 to 8 weeks plus.

Ask your colorist their recommendations and put the color samples up against your face to give you a visual as to what is best.

Hair Colors are graded from 1 to 10. 1 being Black and 10 being Platinum Blonde that is just how light or dark it is. To determine the shade that is different again this is where we use a color chart the same one you'll see in a paint shop!
Only colorist's don't have the easy task of everything going on a white canvas, the color you see is the color you get.

You have to take into consideration what shade are you now and what shade does your hair reflect naturally? Then you have to counteract accordingly. Not as easy as it looks!

My advice: Let the professionals do it.

All visuals are supplied by Zucci Hairdressing their work is truly amazing!

How To Get Your Perfect Haircut....

You know when you want a haircut or maybe a new 'do' but you don't know what to get or what to ask for.

Try answering these questions and you will soon have a picture in your mind of what you want and tell your stylist and they will too.

* What look do you want? sexy, sophisticated, elegant, rock, soft or fun.
* How long do you or are you willing to spend on your hair each day? REALISTICALLY.
* How often do you get your haircut? 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks or longer.
* Do you like messy, neat, done, classical, smooth, soft, straight or curly.
* Do you like the feeling or look of product in your hair?
* What don't you like?

You know if you're a pearls and lace type of gal don't get a rock haircut. Or if you spend 2 minutes doing your hair don't get a cut that requires 1/2 hour.

Make sure your stylist teaches you how to do it when you get home. There is nothing worse then getting home and you don't know what to do with it! You'll end up hating your haircut.

Good Luck!

Fitness For Mum's

So you've just had baby and you're DYING to feel a little bit human but there is NO TIME to workout!

How or where in world do you fit it in?

I had my routine down pat in Summer & Autumn. 9am when it's Milly's sleep time I'd load up the pram and go for a 5km walk. Home by 10am if Maddie was a good girl on the walk we'd drop by the park. Then home by half 10 to shower get ready and feed Milly her 11am bottle! Easy.
But Winter arrives and the colds kick in and any other infection that decides to come visit. At 9am it's 4ْ outside it's ridiculously cold and I'm just will not risking my kids getting sick, AGAIN! So where do I fit it in. Mmmmm

This is my new winter routine.

* Walk in the afternoons after Milly's 3pm bottle. I burn around 450 Calories

* I start Pole Dancing next week. I know don't laugh I'll let you know how I go, it will be a good laugh. I need to laugh! I should burn about 550 Calories

* You know that in between time where there is no time to anywhere and do something. But there is still time before the kids lunch and sleeps. I don't like Maddison watching too much T.V. So I've started to turn the T.V off and crank the music up and dance!
Yes I jump around like a mad woman and show Maddie my moves and as we tear up the lounge room. The kids love it and I do too and you build up a sweat. I burn around 190 Calories.

* Then somewhere in my day I will do sit ups, push ups, squats blah blah blah that will take around 10 to 15 mins. About 90 calories.

If the gym works better for you then do that. I just find that with the girls at home and at night, well I can't be bothered. So this way I can fit it in during that day I'm not doing it when both of the girls are asleep as I need that time to work on Alluring, so for me it works great.

I get 90% of my ideas when I'm walking or dancing. I feel so much better for it mentally and physically and I'm setting a good example for my girls and do you know what? I feel FREE when I'm dancing around my lounge room. My head is a zillion times clearer now then what it has been in a long time. WHY? because I am living in the moment and enjoying the time I spend walking, dancing, being with my girls, with Chris, working on Alluring and my blog. Because I am making a special effort that when I am doing whatever I'm only thinking about that thing. I am not thinking about anything else so when I do it, I do it well.

Do you have any tips?
