What Has Life Dealt You?

When life gives you lemon's you make Lemonade!
When life gives you lime's you make Margaritas!

Now I like Lemonade, but I LOVE Margaritas.

Lemon's or Lime's always look on the bright side of life. It is too short and goes by too fast.

Anyway it's YOUR choice whether you want Lemon's or Lime's. So stop blaming everyone else and decide what YOU prefer. Decide and stop letting other people decide for you.

Otherwise you'll never be TRULY happy and none of that pretend to happy crap! I'm so over that.

IF others love you they will respect your decision and give you 100% support xxx

Control Shorts/ Suck me in Undies!

All of the models for control shorts don’t even need to wear them so they really don’t give you a realistic idea of what they do.

So- Ta Da! A Fabulous Before and After of my Number 1 pick.

I recently took on the mission of finding the best control underwear. They come in so many shapes and sizes. So what is the best?

Here’s what I found-

Control Briefs- There isn’t enough material to do anything and well, it kind of spills out of the top and bottom. Not really the look I’m after thanks!

Control Skirts- They ride up

Control Shorts? I like- They cover your tummy, thighs and bottom.
Like everything some brands are better then others.

Triumph- Are Ok, they smooth but that’s it.

Playtex- Have huge seams, so you can see them through your clothes, HELLO. Seams aside like Triumph they just smooth.

Bras ‘n’ Things- Some have a zip in the front, some have big seams, some have the thickest piece of elastic you’ve ever seen in your life! It would add an extra 1cm to your waistline! Ha, they’re really quite funny. What I shame I’m not joking!

Trinny & Susannah- Are good but personally I think they are too expensive.

Nancy Ganz- My second favourite they smooth and shape. If you pay full price they are slightly over priced, just slightly! $74.95

Ultimo- The BEST! They lift, smooth and shape. They REALLY shape. I tried these on after my 2nd child and well haven’t quite got my ‘hour glass’ shape back, YET. But they really bought me in at the waste.
The quality like all of their ranges is really 2nd to none at a great price.
Even after importation FROM Scotland they retail at $54.95 so about $5 cheaper then the top 3 control shorts stated above but far more superior.

Let's Talk Body!

I am OBSESSED with Body Scrubs and Body Butters I go through them like there is no tomorrow! The containers just don't come big enough!

In my defense, it is the largest organ of our body so we MUST look after it and you can't replace it.

The 3 essential things everyone should do is-

* Everyday- Body brush! This improves your blood circulation so therefore helps in preventing surface veins and varigos veins. A simple 1 minute thing makes a huge difference.

* Moisturize everyday-I have a heavier one and a lighter one that I usually rotate. If you live in a warmer climate you may need a lighter moisturizer or colder climates may need a heavy one.

*Weekly- Use a Body Scrub, this removes all the dead skin also helps blood circulation. Leaves your skin silky smooth and feeling divine!

What products do I love?

Body Brush- Elemis it will last you a life time if you don't get it wet.
Brush using strokes up towards your heart.

Body Butter- Sohum It's really reasonably priced and they smell divine and if you look at the ingredients the first ingredient is Love! Too cute.

Body Scrub- Sohum For the same reason as the butter and I like them to be the same smell to complement each other.

I have recently just tried bodelicious body scrub which was really good as well.

Breaking Point

Or you know it’s not just our breaking point. Do you know what? It’s your TURNING point.
You are not alone when you hit that wall. Everyone will eventually, I hit it just recently.

Once you have children and they are your life and it’s like you have gone through life in black and white and once you have a child you see life in color.

Your prospective changes because you can’t go through that and not have it change you. I would always put my opinion across and I was probably ‘brutally honest’. But I had an air of confidence that looking back I really quite like!

I think it’s normal to become more of a ‘push over’ and it could be for so many reasons.

• You do lose your confidence when you have kids
• You are adjusting to your new body
• You are adjusting to your new life
• You are just so ridiculously exhausted that you simply can not be bothered to argue so you just give in.
• It’s just easier to do things yourself rather then listening to the huff and puff when you ask someone else to do it.

Or you know the people that just make everything such a drama. The littlest task is made into this huge big thing and it so doesn’t have to be. BECAUSE they respond this way we don’t say anything.

UNTIL you reach you’re breaking point. You will, you have too.

To the point where you feel like everyone is just walking all over you and have been for such a long time. They’re happy for YOU to do everything because HEY their life is just so much busier or important then yours. Until you say:

ENOUGH! This is your turning point. You do have voice and an opinion and a brain. Best you remember that.

So you use your voice and say ‘Enough! It’s not going to happen, you have to accountable for your own actions, I am not your stomping for YOU to lay all of YOUR crap’

As a mum you are ‘the core’ of your family and if you’re not functioning to your full capacity then your kids can’t. (and remember you are a role model for your kids) So you HAVE to think about what makes YOU happy. It may be something small or it may be something big. But everybody has that ‘something’ they need to find AND put to use.

And if the ‘others’ don’t like what you have to say and can not RESPECT it then that’s too bad. If the love you they will be there for you, it’s as simple as that.

Trust your gut! If it feels right then it is. If it doesn’t sit right then it isn’t!

Keep it Simple, Stupid! And you WILL find YOU!

PS I always think about “How I want my girls to view me” I want to be an inspiration to them. Someone with confidence, with a voice, with a brain, with respect and whatever you want to do you can, if you put your mind to it and if you are true to yourself.

My Rock, My Foliage

It has been my mission of late to start enjoying the present. It was a long weekend so a perfect time to appreciate my surroundings.

Yesterday we celebrated a 1st birthday; we were with all of our friends whom I just love. You know the friends that you travel through life with and connect on different levels. But there are no judgments just an endless amount of comfort and support as I share all of my ups and downs and realise they are my rock. They make you see things through different eyes, which I love and now we get to watch our kids play, dance, hold hands and cuddle. So they are now traveling through their lives together and will become each others rock.

Today we went for a drive and had lunch with friends and it was just lovely. We drove past one of the areas that were burnt by Black Saturday. I was looking at the trees that were burnt to crisp but now 5 months later some of them are starting to come back to life which was so nice to see.

Then I realised the foliage is growing back differently and I thought ‘Mmmm they’re not to dissimilar from us really’

We travel through life and sometimes horrible things happen that can knock you down but you get back up. You learn, you grow and move on but you’re different with each life experience. The core is the same but the foliage is different.

What we need to do is try and stay positive and trust the process of life and that all of things are making you a better person so you can be all you can be.
